Job Description

The Coordinator, Training Support role serves as the central point of coordination for employee learning and development activities. The position is responsible for planning, administering, and supporting training programmes that strengthen workforce capability, ensure regulatory compliance, and align employee development with organizational and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and support the implementation of training programmes that enhance employee knowledge, technical skills, and safety competencies
- Design and coordinate operational, technical, and safety training programmes tailored to mining activities
- Collaborate with departmental managers and Human Resources to identify organizational training needs and workforce development priorities
- Assist in developing and maintaining annual and periodic training plans and schedules
- Coordinate onsite and offsite training logistics, including venues, training materials, attendance management, and participant communication
- Record training attendance and maintain efficient training administration processes
- Update and maintain employee training records within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Assign mandatory, compliance, technical, and developmental training courses while monitoring completion status
- Maintain accurate training documentation, learning records, and compliance reports
- Prepare training reports, participation statistics, and performance data for management review
- Support the development, review, and continuous improvement of training policies, standards, and procedures
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements to learning programmes and workforce capability initiatives
- Ensure all training activities comply with company policies, operational requirements, and safety standards
- Support Culture and Capability initiatives, talent development programmes, and succession planning activities
- Coordinate Talent and Succession Review processes and provide employee development reports to line management
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Education, Training and Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in training coordination, learning and development, or human resource development within a large organization
- Experience supporting training programmes in mining, industrial, construction, or other heavy operational environments is preferred
- Experience coordinating operational, technical, and safety-related training programmes
- Demonstrated experience in training administration, scheduling, reporting, and record management
- Practical experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Experience supporting talent development and succession planning initiatives is an added advantage
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities effectively
- Ability to conduct organizational training needs assessments
- Knowledge of developing and updating training policies and standards in line with industry best practices
- Understanding of mining operational and safety training requirements
- Knowledge of mandatory compliance and workplace safety training standards
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong data management skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent planning, organizational, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Strong accountability, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement
