Airtel Tanzania is seeking a Brand & Communications Manager to lead Home Broadband (HBB) brand growth through integrated marketing communications, digital marketing, creative development, media management, customer engagement, and performance-driven campaigns. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in ATL, BTL, and digital campaign execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

Creative Development and Brand Management

  • Lead creative development processes from campaign briefing to execution for all HBB campaigns.
  • Work closely with creative agencies to develop ATL, BTL, and digital marketing assets.
  • Ensure all creative materials align with brand guidelines, customer insights, and performance standards.
  • Manage campaign timelines, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Liaise with advertising and creative agencies and evaluate performance regularly.
  • Monitor agency deliverables and ensure value addition through quality and cost optimization.
  • Maintain a library of creative and communication materials, including competitor advertisements.
  • Track execution of marketing campaigns to ensure alignment with the marketing work plan.

Digital Marketing and Performance

  • Develop and implement HBB-focused digital marketing strategies.
  • Manage paid digital media performance across search, social media, display, and video channels.
  • Collaborate with product and customer experience teams to improve digital journeys and conversion funnels.
  • Monitor digital KPIs including leads, conversions, ROI, and cost per acquisition.
  • Stay updated on digital trends, platforms, and consumer behavior related to broadband services.

Content and Social Media Management

  • Create engaging content with agencies and internal teams including posts, videos, graphics, and campaigns.
  • Ensure content effectively communicates brand messaging and resonates with target audiences.
  • Develop social media strategies and content calendars.
  • Manage paid advertising campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
  • Drive follower growth, engagement, and lead generation through social channels and websites.
  • Update websites with new products, launches, and promotions.
  • Improve customer digital experiences, landing pages, and conversion journeys.

Media Strategy and Monitoring

  • Develop ATL media strategies covering TV, radio, print, and outdoor advertising.
  • Work with media agencies to optimize media mix, placements, and performance.
  • Monitor media performance, competitor activity, share of voice, and share of expenditure.
  • Conduct market research and media monitoring activities.
  • Prepare competitor analysis and campaign performance reports.
  • Identify innovative media opportunities targeting broadband customers.

Customer Experience and Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with Customer Experience teams to manage customer interactions on social media.
  • Develop social listening trackers and monitor customer feedback.
  • Manage positive and negative brand engagement on digital platforms.
  • Work closely with product, sales, and customer experience teams to align communication strategies.
  • Manage agency relationships to ensure accountability and performance.

Performance Tracking and Budget Management

  • Define and monitor HBB marketing KPIs including awareness, consideration, demand, and conversion.
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend optimization improvements.
  • Monitor competitor trends and evolving market dynamics.
  • Plan and manage approved marketing budgets.
  • Monitor campaign spending and ROI performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, approvals, and processes.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Marketing
    • Business
    • Or related field.

  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in:

    • Brand marketing
    • Integrated communications
    • Growth marketing
    • Or related marketing roles.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale ATL and digital campaigns.
  • Experience in telecom, FMCG, technology, or high-growth consumer industries is preferred.
  • Experience managing agencies and senior-level stakeholders.
