Eskom is inviting applications from qualified South African citizens for 12 Learner Artisan (Apprenticeship) opportunities at Matimba Power Station in Lephalale, Limpopo. This internship programme offers institutional and on-the-job training for candidates who want to build a career in technical and engineering trades within the energy sector.

The apprenticeship is designed to equip successful applicants with practical workplace experience while developing artisan skills across multiple engineering disciplines. Candidates who meet the educational requirements are encouraged to apply before the closing date.

Learner Artisan – 12 Posts

Responsibilities include:

• Participate in institutional and workplace artisan training.
• Complete practical and theoretical learning assigned during the apprenticeship.
• Follow Eskom policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and technical teams.
• Develop technical competencies in the assigned trade.

Qualifications Required:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Grade 12 with Mathematics (minimum 50%) and Physical Science (minimum 50%).
• Plus N3, N4, N5, or N6 Certificate in one of the following trades:
  • Electrical
  • Instrumentation
  • Fitter
  • Fitter and Turner
  • Boilermaker
  • Welder
  • Plumber
  • Carpenter
  • Rigger
  • Civil
  • Millwright
  • Bricklaying
• OR Grade 12 plus NCV Level 4 in any of the listed trades with Mathematics and Physical Science at 50% or above.
