The Department of Employment and Labour is inviting applications for Inbound Agents to join the Compensation Fund in Pretoria. This entry-level government opportunity is ideal for candidates who have completed Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) and are looking to begin a career in customer service and public administration.

Successful candidates will work in the Compensation Fund contact centre, where they will assist clients with inbound enquiries, register Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (COID) claims, and provide administrative support. Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Register and capture COID claims on the relevant system.
  • Provide accurate information and assistance to Compensation Fund clients.
  • Capture customer and claims data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Manage and resolve customer queries in line with service standards.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the contact centre.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with public service procedures.

Qualifications Required

  • Grade 12 Certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • No previous work experience is required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and data capturing ability.
  • Strong listening, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced contact centre environment.
