Mwalimu Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology has announced one vacancy for the position of Health Laboratory Assistant II. The university is seeking a qualified and competent candidate to support laboratory operations and healthcare services within the institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out laboratory tests, maintaining cleanliness of laboratory equipment and glassware, keeping records of laboratory investigations, and assisting in specimen collection and preservation. Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in the laboratory, equipment, and glassware
• Keep records of laboratory tests
• Perform laboratory tests
• Collect venous blood from patients and preserve specimens
• Keep records of laboratory investigations carried out in the register
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Holder of Form IV Certificate
• Must have completed a two-year Certificate in Health Laboratory Science or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions

Remuneration

• Salary Scale: PMGSS 2.1
