Organization: Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the position of Artisan II – Signal and Telecommunication. The successful candidates will support maintenance, installation, and operation of railway signal and telecommunication systems.

Position: Artisan II – Signal and Telecommunication
Number of Positions: 30
Application Period: 19 May 2026 – 1 June 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain signal and telecommunication control systems, radios, underground cables, and internal office communication systems
• Assist in connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other signal and telecommunication components
• Install new signal and telecommunication systems
• Perform pointsman duties
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Form Four Certificate with one of the following qualifications:

  • Trade Test II/Level II
  • National Vocational Award (NVA II or III)
  • Basic Technician Certificate/NTA Level 4 in:

    • Signal and Telecommunication
    • Electronics and Communication Engineering Technology
    • Or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
