Position Summary:
The Project Officer will support the Centre for Environment for Development Tanzania (EfDT), part of the global Environment for Development (EfD) Network. The role focuses on coordinating research, policy engagement, administration, and compliance to strengthen environmental economics capacity for evidence-based policymaking.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate implementation of EfDT research and policy activities
• Support field data collection, data management, and documentation
• Ensure administrative and financial compliance with UDSM and donor requirements
• Support stakeholder engagement and dissemination of research findings
• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Economics & Statistics, Agricultural and Natural Resources Economics and Business (BSc ANEB), or related field
• Fresh graduates may apply with demonstrated relevant experience
• 1–2 years’ experience in project coordination is desirable

Added Advantage
• Master’s degree in Environmental Economics or related field
