Full Job Description
The Farm of Dreams Lodge is a hospitality establishment located in Karatu, Tanzania, offering accommodation and tourism services within the Northern Tanzania safari circuit. The lodge is currently seeking to recruit a qualified and customer-focused Receptionist to support front office operations and ensure excellent guest experience and smooth day-to-day reception services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Provide guests with information about lodge facilities and services.
- Handle billing, payments, and issue receipts.
- Prepare daily occupancy and sales reports.
- Participate in room inspections before guest check-in.
- Professionally answer all internal and external company phone calls.
- Build strong relationships with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Keep the reception area clean and organized.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualification and Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field.
- Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with booking or reservation systems.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle money responsibly.
- High standards of personal hygiene and neat appearance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A polite and patient personality.
- Preferred age between 25 and 35 years.
