Tujijenge Tanzania is recruiting a Senior Officer – ICT based in Dar es Salaam. The role is responsible for managing and maintaining core banking systems, ensuring reliable IT operations, and supporting the organization’s digital infrastructure within a regulated financial environment.

The position focuses on ensuring system stability, cybersecurity, and efficient IT service delivery. The officer will also support IT planning, vendor coordination, and implementation of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce system downtime. This is a full-time, in-office role.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing and maintaining core banking systems and related applications to ensure continuous availability and performance.
• Providing technical support to minimize downtime of critical banking and operational systems.
• Overseeing system backups, data recovery processes, and cybersecurity controls to protect organizational data.
• Coordinating with external vendors and service providers for system upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure support.
• Troubleshooting network, hardware, and software issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensuring compliance with ICT policies, banking regulations, and data protection requirements.
• Supporting IT planning, budgeting processes, and implementation of new digital solutions and technologies.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT, preferably within banking or financial services environments.
• Strong knowledge of core banking systems, database management, and computer networking.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, data protection standards, and IT governance policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to handle technical incidents efficiently.
• Good communication and coordination skills, including ability to work with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Leadership capability and ability to operate under pressure in critical IT environments.
