MSF is currently recruiting candidates for the Storekeeper (Pool Position) to support logistics and warehouse operations.
Position Details
Job Title: Storekeeper (Pool Position)

Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Main Purpose
The Storekeeper will execute stock management activities including receiving, storing, and issuing materials such as medical supplies, food items, spare parts, tools, and other logistics equipment according to MSF standards and procedures. The role ensures efficient warehouse operations and supports the continuity of MSF humanitarian activities.
Key Objectives
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the warehouse according to MSF standards.
- Ensure internal requests are prepared and delivered with correct documentation.
- Ensure cargo is properly picked, packed, and loaded to prevent damage during transport.
- Ensure proper labeling and stacking of items (e.g., fragile, flammable, this side up).
- Prepare picking documents on time to avoid delays.
- Supervise daily workers assisting in warehouse operations.
- Ensure workers have appropriate working tools and protective equipment.
- Perform proper physical reception of cargo, verifying parcels and identifying damages or discrepancies.
- Implement warehouse standard operating procedures and guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise material orders and dispatch to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Receive deliveries and report discrepancies against cargo manifests.
- Update and maintain stock cards for all warehouse items.
- Monitor cold chain supplies and maintain temperature control for sensitive goods.
- Ensure proper storage with attention to expiry dates, lot numbers, and packaging conditions.
- Prepare shipments by packing, weighing, labeling, and documenting freight.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts together with the line manager.
- Monitor stock levels and report stock shortages or expiry risks.
- Ensure warehouse security, allowing access only to authorized personnel.
- Report incidents such as damage, loss, or attempted theft immediately.
Minimum Educational Qualification
- Basic literacy is essential
- Secondary education required
- Certificate or diploma in storekeeping, procurement, supply chain, or warehouse management is desirable
Experience
- Previous storekeeper or warehouse experience is desirable.
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (oral and written)
- Swahili: Fluent (oral and written)
