Job Description

National Insurance Corporation (NIC) is inviting applications from dynamic, proactive, motivated and suitably qualified Tanzanian graduates to join its Volunteer Programme. The programme is designed to give young volunteers an opportunity to develop practical skills, gain professional exposure and build valuable work experience.

NIC has announced two volunteer positions for Planning Officer II. The opportunity is suitable for graduates with academic backgrounds in economics, project planning, management or economic planning who can demonstrate computer literacy.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning and Management.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Planning.

  • Equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

  • Must be computer literate.

General Conditions

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be a Tanzanian citizen.

  • Must be aged between 18 and 35 years.

  • Must never have been employed in any public institution since graduating from their studies.

  • Must not have been convicted by a court of law for criminal offences or disciplinary misconduct.

  • Must have good conduct and behaviour acceptable to the community.

  • The volunteer period shall not exceed 12 months and may be renewed for a maximum of two additional periods.
