Wakufunzi Wa Udereva Wa Awali (Basic Driving Instructor) - 10 Positions

Mlimani Driving School is inviting applications from qualified and experienced candidates for 10 Basic Driving Instructor positions in Dar es Salaam and Bagamoyo. The successful applicants will be responsible for delivering practical and classroom-based driving training while helping students develop the skills required to drive safely and obtain their driving licences.

The position requires candidates who can provide effective driving instruction, promote road safety, maintain training vehicles and lesson records, and prepare students for police driving tests. Applicants with the required driving instructor licence, relevant experience, and a strong sense of professionalism and integrity are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct practical and theoretical driving lessons for students.
• Inspect training vehicles before and after practical sessions to identify defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure vehicles and their components remain in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate training journey logbooks for daily practical driving lessons.
• Teach students defensive driving techniques and safe driving practices.
• Guide students on how to respond appropriately to road incidents and promote accident prevention.
• Prepare and deliver lessons on emergency situations that may occur while driving.
• Provide continuous driving and road safety training to help students successfully complete their training.
• Accompany students to police driving tests after completing their training to support them in obtaining their driving licences.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Director or supervisor.

Qualifications Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or above.
• Must possess a Driving Instructor’s Licence issued by the Police Force.
• Must have a valid driving licence.
• Must hold a Form Four Certificate with passes in English and Kiswahili.
• Must have at least two years of driving instruction experience without causing accidents.
• Demonstrate professionalism in carrying out driving instruction duties.
• Have relevant experience in driving training.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity.
