Wakufunzi Wa Udereva Wa Magari Ya Abiria Na Malori (PSV/HGV) - 4 Positions

Mlimani Driving School is inviting applications from qualified and experienced individuals for four PSV/HGV Driving Instructor positions in Tanzania. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing both practical and theoretical driving training to students seeking to improve their driving skills and obtain higher driving licence classes.

The Driving Instructor role also involves teaching defensive driving and road safety, maintaining training records, inspecting vehicles before and after practical lessons, and preparing students for police driving tests. Applicants who meet the required driving instructor qualifications and have relevant experience are encouraged to apply before the stated deadline.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide practical and theoretical driving lessons to students.
• Inspect training vehicles before and after practical sessions and identify any mechanical or safety issues requiring attention.
• Ensure vehicles and their components remain in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate daily training journey logbooks for practical driving lessons.
• Teach students defensive driving techniques and responsible road behaviour.
• Guide students on appropriate responses to road incidents and ways to prevent accidents.
• Prepare and deliver lessons covering emergency situations that may occur while driving.
• Conduct continuous driving and road safety training to help students achieve the required competency.
• Accompany students to police driving tests after completion of their training to support the process of upgrading their driving licence classes.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Director or supervisor.

Qualifications Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or above.
• Must possess a Class B Driving Instructor’s Licence issued by the Police Force.
• Must have a valid driving licence with Class C and E endorsements.
• Must not be registered with another college or training institution.
• Must hold a Form Four Certificate with passes in English and Kiswahili.
• Must have at least two years of experience as a driving instructor without causing road accidents.
• Demonstrate professionalism and responsible conduct.
• Have relevant practical experience in driving instruction.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity.
