Territory Distribution Manager

Sun King is inviting applications from qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Territory Distribution Manager in Arusha. The successful candidate will oversee the growth of the Sun King Rider Network and support the expansion of distribution services for LPG and other products within the company's portfolio.

This is a field-based position that requires extensive engagement with Sun King Riders, customers, shops, internal teams, and other stakeholders within assigned territories. The role focuses on rider recruitment and performance, operational efficiency, safety, customer satisfaction, and the continuous improvement of last-mile distribution services.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying suitable candidates for onboarding into the Sun King Rider Network.
• Onboarding riders responsible for delivering products and services within assigned territories.
• Conducting required Know Your Customer (KYC) checks for riders.
• Maintaining rider numbers above the required minimum to support daily order completion rates of more than 95%.
• Developing initiatives that improve rider satisfaction and reduce rider attrition.
• Working with internal teams to develop strategies that improve rider earnings and productivity.
• Implementing rider engagement and retention initiatives.
• Ensuring riders have the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment while working.
• Promoting safe riding practices across assigned territories.
• Engaging internal and external stakeholders on rider safety initiatives.
• Encouraging the adoption of improved safety practices within the rider community.
• Acting as the primary Sun King contact for riders in assigned territories.
• Representing the Rider Network during community discussions, local government forums, and other relevant engagements.
• Working with the procurement team to ensure timely payments for gas, cylinders, and related expenses in accordance with established credit terms.
• Conducting performance discussions with riders to ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Developing and maintaining rider productivity tracking tools and dashboards.
• Identifying shops that meet the required standards for LPG cylinder storage and distribution.
• Coaching agents on accuracy and professionalism when interacting with customers.
• Conducting refresher training on customer service standards.
• Developing and monitoring customer satisfaction and service performance indicators, including CSAT, NPS, resolution time, and turnaround time.
• Reviewing customer feedback survey results and ensuring reported issues are addressed.
• Conducting routine and ad-hoc customer visits to assess product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensuring customer concerns escalated from the field are resolved accurately and on time.

Qualifications Required:

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in last-mile delivery operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
• Experience monitoring and evaluating operational changes and their impact on delivery efficiency and rider productivity.
• Experience preparing reports and recommendations for senior management relating to delivery optimization initiatives.
