Driver

Dragon Oil Tanzania Limited is seeking a qualified and dependable Driver to join its operations in Mkuranga, Pwani Region. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong commitment to road safety, vehicle maintenance, and timely transportation of staff, goods, and company materials.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting daily business operations by ensuring safe and efficient transportation services while maintaining company vehicles in excellent condition. Applicants should demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a solid understanding of Tanzanian road networks and traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport company staff, goods, and materials to designated destinations while ensuring timely delivery and collection.

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults or maintenance requirements.

  

• Keep the assigned vehicle clean, fueled, and in good operating condition.

• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.

• Comply with Tanzanian traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety policies.

• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.

• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid Tanzanian Driving Licence (Class C or above).

• VETA Certificate.

• Degree in a related field.

• Minimum of two (2) years of proven professional driving experience.

• Experience in long-distance driving.

• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian road networks and traffic regulations.

• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.

• Honest, disciplined, reliable, and physically fit.

• Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic offences.
