Courier at Lancet Laboratories – September 2026

Lancet Laboratories is inviting applications for the position of Courier at its JHB – Central branch in South Africa. This permanent opportunity is ideal for experienced drivers who are committed to delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the safe transportation of laboratory specimens and medical reports.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations by collecting and delivering specimens, reports, and other goods on time. The position also requires maintaining company vehicles, following strict health and safety procedures, and ensuring accurate delivery records.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily collection and delivery routes efficiently.
• Collect and deliver laboratory specimens from laboratories, doctors, hospitals, and clients.
• Ensure specimens, reports, and other goods reach the correct destinations safely and on time.
• Complete and obtain signatures for proof-of-delivery documentation.
• Scan specimens and results using the Courier Management Programme.
• Maintain company vehicles, fuel cards, uniforms, and other assigned assets.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, specimen bags, and eye protection.
• Complete incident and accident reports whenever required.
• Keep vehicles clean and report hazardous material spills immediately.
• Comply with health, safety, and quality assurance procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 (N3) qualification.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Public Driver’s Permit (PDP) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant courier or driving experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
• Patient, reliable, and customer-service oriented.
