Accounts Trainee (6 Positions)

AKO Group Limited is inviting applications for six Accounts Trainee Internship positions within its AKO Catering Facilities Management division in Dar es Salaam. This internship is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates seeking practical experience in accounting and finance while working with one of Tanzania’s leading facilities management companies.

The successful candidates will support the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. The programme offers valuable hands-on experience in financial management, accounting procedures, and professional workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.

• Support the preparation of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.

  

• Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash management.

• Help prepare financial reports and support month-end closing activities.

• Maintain and organize financial documents and filing systems.

• Support the finance team with data entry and other general accounting tasks.

• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized institution.

• Internship experience or up to one (1) year of experience in accounting or finance is an added advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
