Lecturer – Human Resource Management

St John’s University of Tanzania (SJUT) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Lecturer – Human Resource Management at its Chief Mazengo Campus in Dodoma. The position is suitable for academic professionals with advanced qualifications in Human Resource Management who can contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student research supervision, and academic research.

The successful candidate will be appointed on a four-year fixed-term contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, consultancy, and public service activities within SJUT’s Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies.

Responsibilities

• Teach Human Resource Management courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars.

  

• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research.

• Conduct research and publish research findings.

  

• Participate in consultancy and public service activities.

• Perform other academic duties assigned by the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies.

  

Qualifications Required

• Hold a PhD in Human Resource Management.

• Hold a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, such as an MSc or MBA specializing in HRM.

  

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management.

• Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.5/5.0.

• Have a minimum Master’s GPA of 4.0/5.0 or equivalent.

• Experience working in tertiary education institutions is an added advantage.
