Direct Sales Agent

National Insurance Corporation (NIC) is seeking proactive and customer-focused individuals to join its sales team as Direct Sales Agents in Zanzibar. The role focuses on promoting and selling NIC General and Life Insurance products while building strong customer relationships and achieving assigned sales targets.

Successful candidates will use networking, marketing campaigns and direct outreach to identify potential customers, promote insurance products and support customer retention. This opportunity is suitable for candidates with secondary education, certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas or bachelor’s degrees in relevant business, insurance, marketing and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential clients through networking, marketing campaigns and direct outreach.

• Participate in sales activations and campaigns to achieve specific targets.

  

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to support retention and renewals.

• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.

  

• Promote both Life and General Insurance products.

• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to team sales objectives.

• Work towards premium goals in line with NIC’s strategic objectives.

• Provide regular sales reports.

• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the sales process.

Requirements

Applicants should meet one or more of the following academic requirements:

• Ordinary Level Secondary Education (O-Level) or Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).

• Advanced Level Secondary Education (A-Level) or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE).

• Certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Sales and Marketing or a related field.

• Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Sales and Marketing or a related field.

• Advanced Diploma in a relevant field.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Sales and Marketing or a related field.

• Experience in sales and marketing of insurance products is an added advantage.

• Must be a Tanzanian citizen.

• Must be above 18 years of age.

• Ability to maintain strong customer relationships.

• Proactive sales approach.

• Excellent customer service skills.
