Main Purpose of the Job
The Provincial Head will plan, direct, lead and manage the provincial business unit within approved governance structures to achieve business growth, profitability and agricultural development objectives.
The role will drive business value through operational and sales strategies, strengthen client relationship and customer experience management, and build relationships with government, communities and other external stakeholders.
The position will also oversee day-to-day provincial operations, including lending, product sales, customer service, business support, security, safety, risk management and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Agricultural Sector Development and Transformation

Align the provincial business plan with Land Bank’s overall organisational strategy.

Drive Growth, Profitability and Financial Performance

Drive sustainable growth of the provincial loan book.

Monitor the composition of the loan portfolio, including short-term, medium-term and long-term lending.

Ensure short-term and medium-term lending contributes significantly to the provincial loan portfolio.

Monitor portfolio health and financial performance.

Manage the cost-to-income ratio to support positive provincial financial performance.

Identify opportunities for profitable business growth while maintaining appropriate credit and risk standards.
Client Relationship Management and Client Centricity

Identify, establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders within the province.

Build relationships with provincial government structures, agricultural-sector stakeholders and local community leaders.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates should have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Sciences or an equivalent qualification in Banking and Financial Services.

Relevant knowledge and experience in commercial banking or development finance.

Strong understanding of lending, credit assessment and financial analysis.
Required Experience
The position requires:

5–8 years of experience in a development finance or commercial banking environment.

5–8 years of experience in credit, lending or loan assessment, including due diligence and financial modelling.

2–3 years of management-level experience as a Branch Manager or Sales Manager.

Experience in banking operations and service management.

Experience managing internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in sales management.
-
Experience leading teams and delivering against business targets.
