UNFPA Consultant Roster
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is inviting qualified professionals to join its global Consultant Roster. The roster serves as a pool of experts who may be engaged for short-term and long-term consultancy assignments supporting UNFPA's programmes and initiatives across various thematic areas. Specific assignments will be advertised or assigned based on organizational needs, with detailed Terms of Reference (ToR) outlining the scope of work for each consultancy.
Consultants on the roster may contribute technical expertise, research, policy development, programme implementation, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and advisory services in support of UNFPA's mission to improve reproductive health, promote gender equality, empower young people, and support sustainable development worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Undertake consultancy assignments as specified in the Terms of Reference for each engagement.
- Provide technical expertise within relevant UNFPA thematic areas.
- Conduct research, analysis, and evidence generation activities.
- Support programme design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Develop technical reports, policy documents, assessments, and recommendations.
- Facilitate capacity-building and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Provide advisory services to UNFPA country, regional, and global programmes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, government institutions, development partners, and beneficiaries.
- Support project planning, implementation, and reporting processes.
- Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines and standards.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s degree or higher) in a relevant field.
- Significant professional experience in one or more of UNFPA's thematic areas.
- Experience working with international organizations, development agencies, governments, or non-governmental organizations.
- Previous consulting experience in international development settings is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report writing and communication abilities.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of another United Nations language may be required or considered an advantage depending on the assignment.
