Responsibilities
The Solid Pipe Fabricator & Site Welder will be responsible for fabricating and welding solid pipe fittings, supporting installation activities at customer sites, and ensuring all work is performed in accordance with quality and safety standards. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work both in the workshop and on-site environments.

  • Fabricate solid pipe fittings and other fabricated fittings according to technical drawings and customer requirements
  • Read and interpret piping drawings for fabrication and site installation work
  • Operate fabrication workshop equipment and site machinery, including cutting and lifting equipment
  • Use electrofusion, socket fusion, and butt fusion welding machines effectively
  • Participate in field service activities involving site welding and installation
  • Select, inspect, and utilize appropriate equipment for assigned tasks
  • Attend and complete company-provided Pipe Fabricator and Welding training programs
  • Follow all quality procedures and complete required documentation and record forms
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace at all times
  • Ensure all fabrication and installation activities comply with customer specifications and company standards

Qualification

Candidates applying for this role should possess relevant technical qualifications and practical experience in welding, fabrication, and pipe installation activities. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong technical skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in both workshop and field environments.

  • Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Fabrication, Plumbing, or a related field
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in plastics, butt fusion, electrofusion, or related site work
  • Experience in site installation, pipe laying, and testing activities
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and safety compliance procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and piping drawings
  • Experience in operating fabrication and welding equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in workshop and field environments
  • Possession of a valid driving license
