FINCA Microfinance Bank Tanzania Limited is inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Record Management Intern. The bank is seeking a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about records management, data organization, and administrative support. The successful candidate will join a dynamic Human Resources team and support the proper management, digitization, and maintenance of both physical and electronic employee records.
The intern will play an important role in ensuring that employee files and records are accurately organized, updated, and maintained according to the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements. This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to gain practical experience in records management, office administration, and document control within a professional banking environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily records management activities including scanning and digitizing paper documents, accurately indexing files within the HR shared folder, and maintaining organized filing systems for active and former employees. The role also involves updating employee records, maintaining data accuracy, retrieving requested files, and supporting record retention and disposal processes.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Scanning and digitizing employee documents and records
- Indexing files accurately in the HR shared folder
- Organizing, shelving, and labelling employee files
- Updating training records and exit employee information
- Assisting in locating and retrieving physical or archived files
- Supporting record retention and disposal procedures
- Conducting staff file audits and verifying missing documents
- Maintaining file transfer and request logs
- Ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive records
Applicants should possess strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel, as well as document scanning equipment. Candidates must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

Candidates must hold a Diploma in Records Management, Library Science, or a related administrative field.
The Record Management Intern will report directly to the Human Resource Officer at FINCA Microfinance Bank Tanzania Limited.
