Responsibilities
The QSHE Supervisor is responsible for driving a strong safety and quality culture while ensuring full compliance with food safety and quality management systems. The role involves leading quality assurance activities, managing teams, and ensuring that all operational processes meet internal and external standards. It also includes handling non-conformities, customer complaints, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion a “Safety First, Quality Always” culture across the site
- Lead, coach, and develop the QSHE/Quality team, including training and performance management
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, allergen control, and sanitation programs
- Handle customer complaints and lead investigations for timely resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA to prevent recurrence of issues
- Oversee inspection of raw materials and finished products for compliance
- Conduct internal audits and support management reviews
- Deliver training programs on GMP, QMS, and FSMS to plant staff
- Analyze quality data trends and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GQMS and corporate quality systems
Qualification
This role requires a strong academic background in science-related fields combined with solid experience in food safety and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. Candidates are expected to demonstrate technical expertise, leadership ability, and familiarity with international quality systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food quality and safety roles
- Experience in a multinational food, ingredients, or pharmaceutical company is an advantage
- Certification in food safety systems such as HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP, or GHP
- Lead Auditor certification or equivalent auditing qualification
- Knowledge of SPC, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or plant environment under strict compliance standards
