MOGO Tanzania is seeking a Project Manager (Product Team) to oversee product operations and drive the successful implementation of customer and sales application initiatives in Tanzania. The role involves coordinating product rollouts, managing testing cycles, gathering user feedback, and leading project delivery from inception to completion while ensuring alignment between business needs, customer expectations, and product development goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the rollout of new Customer App features in Tanzania, including planning, communication, and post-launch monitoring
- Organize and oversee testing cycles for new releases before deployment
- Gather structured feedback from internal testers and end users
- Conduct customer interviews to understand user experiences, challenges, and improvement opportunities
- Translate customer insights and local market needs into clear product requirements
- Monitor key Customer App performance metrics and identify issues or growth opportunities
- Coordinate the rollout of new Sales App features with local sales teams
- Support feature training initiatives and monitor adoption among sales personnel
- Conduct structured testing with sales agents before new releases go live
- Document issues identified during testing and ensure timely resolution
- Conduct regular interviews and feedback sessions with field agents to identify usability challenges and unmet needs
- Monitor Sales App usage in the field and identify areas requiring improvement
- Capture Tanzania-specific operational requirements and ensure they are included in the product backlog
- Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring objectives are achieved within agreed timelines
- Define project scope, coordinate stakeholders, and track project progress
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal IT teams to align requirements, timelines, and acceptance criteria
- Document project outcomes and facilitate operational handover after project implementation
- Identify, assess, and escalate project risks or obstacles in a timely manner
- Provide regular project updates and progress reports to the Product Owner
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Project Coordination, Telecommunications, Fintech, Digital Products, or a related field
- Experience managing mobile applications, product rollouts, user testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Experience gathering customer feedback and converting business needs into product requirements
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies is an added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in both English and Swahili
