To strengthen its portfolio management and loan recovery operations, Hope Microcredit Company Limited is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and results-oriented Portfolio Monitoring Officer to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will play a critical role in monitoring loan performance, tracking repayments, identifying delinquent accounts, and supporting recovery efforts to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Analyze loan repayment data to identify overdue and delinquent accounts.
- Monitor portfolio performance and detect repayment trends and risk indicators.
- Conduct daily follow-up calls to clients with outstanding loan balances.
- Make high-volume outbound calls to support timely loan repayments and portfolio recovery.
- Engage clients professionally while maintaining a firm and persistent collection approach.
- Coordinate with field officers and recovery teams to improve repayment performance.
- Track missed, delayed, and partial repayments and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare regular portfolio monitoring and recovery reports for management.
- Maintain accurate records of client communications and repayment commitments.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving portfolio quality and reducing default rates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and recovery procedures.
Qualifications Required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Experience monitoring loan portfolios, collections, or credit operations is an added advantage.
- Comfortable handling high-volume outbound calls and client follow-ups.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging performance targets.
- Highly resilient, persistent, and target-driven.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
