Job Description

The School of St Jude is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Officer – Supporter Relations to help strengthen relationships with supporters around the world and contribute to the organization’s mission of fighting poverty through education. This role focuses on donor stewardship, supporter engagement, communications, database management, and event coordination to ensure supporters feel valued, informed, and connected to the impact of their contributions.

The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to deliver personalized supporter experiences, maintain accurate records, coordinate communications, and support virtual and in-person engagement activities. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, excellent organization abilities, and a passion for building meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of personalized and high-quality donor stewardship activities.
  • Prepare heartfelt thank-you emails, thoughtful gifts, and special supporter communications.
  • Collaborate with different teams to coordinate supporter updates and communication materials.
  • Track supporter engagement and maintain communication records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in supporter databases and tracking systems.
  • Ensure supporters receive timely and relevant information.
  • Assist in planning and preparing supporter tours and Zoom events.
  • Conduct background research and prepare event materials.
  • Monitor communications against established KPIs.
  • Support reporting activities and performance tracking.
  • Gather and share feedback to improve supporter engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to strengthening relationships with global supporters.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Development, or a related field.
  • Excellent English writing skills with strong attention to tone, clarity, and detail.
  • Experience in donor relations, customer service, fundraising, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
  • Experience with supporter databases or email design platforms is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Comfortable creating videos and using digital communication tools.
