INNOVEX is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to support the design, implementation, and management of monitoring and evaluation systems for its projects in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking project performance, ensuring accountability, strengthening learning processes, and providing reliable data to support strategic decision-making and donor reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools, and performance indicators
• Design and maintain systems for tracking project outputs, outcomes, and impact
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to measure project performance
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across project activities
• Prepare timely reports, dashboards, presentations, and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct field visits to monitor project implementation and validate reported data
• Support data verification, quality assurance, and compliance processes
• Build the capacity of staff, partners, and stakeholders on monitoring and evaluation practices and reporting requirements
• Provide technical support on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities
• Support organizational learning through data analysis, lessons learned, and best-practice documentation
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, reporting standards, and organizational policies
• Contribute to project reviews, evaluations, assessments, and learning initiatives
• Support evidence-based planning and decision-making processes across projects and programs

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field
• Master’s degree is an added advantage
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, or related roles
• Strong skills in data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
• Knowledge and experience working with donor-funded projects and programs
• Strong Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) skills
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and performance measurement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills
• Proficiency in data management systems and visualization software
• High attention to detail and commitment to data quality
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong organizational and stakeholder engagement skills

General Conditions

• Contract-based full-time position located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
• Successful candidate will support project monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning functions across organizational programs
• Regular field visits may be required to monitor project implementation and verify data quality
