Job Description
Hannah Bennie School (HBS) was established to provide children in Kigamboni with access to high-quality English-medium education close to home. As the school continues to expand its educational and administrative capabilities, technology remains a critical enabler of effective learning, collaboration, security, and operational excellence.
To support its growing digital infrastructure, HBS is seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft 365 & Azure Administrator to manage and optimize its cloud environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering Microsoft cloud services, strengthening cybersecurity, supporting end users, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the institution’s technology systems.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and secure the organization’s Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud environment
- Manage Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) identities, groups, user provisioning, licensing, and conditional access policies
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
- Deploy and manage devices, applications, compliance policies, and endpoint security using Microsoft Intune
- Monitor security events using Microsoft Defender and respond to alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for cloud workloads
- Provide technical support to users and resolve cloud-related issues efficiently
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical standards
- Continuously optimize cloud performance, security posture, licensing, and operational costs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve technology services and user experience
Qualification Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least three years of experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environments
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator or Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification is required, or must be obtained within twelve months of appointment
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, cloud security, networking, and Microsoft ecosystem technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams administration
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and systems management
- Advanced computer proficiency and excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
