Job Description

Mumangi Construction Co. To strengthen its human capital function, Mumangi Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a qualified and dedicated Human Resources Officer to join its team in Mwanza. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing recruitment processes, employee relations, personnel records, performance management, and ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all human resource matters within the company
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection processes from vacancy identification to onboarding
  • Prepare, administer, and maintain employment contracts and related documentation
  • Manage employee attendance, leave administration, and disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes and provide administrative support for performance management initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, leave records, guarantor records, and medical documentation
  • Support employee relations and workplace communication initiatives
  • Assist management in implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Prepare HR reports and personnel-related documentation as required
  • Promote professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all HR activities

Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Good understanding of Tanzanian labor laws and employment regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
  • Strong organizational and record-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Readiness and willingness to work within the construction industry
