The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will work closely with business units to align people strategies with the Bank’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Human Resource, the successful candidate will lead key HR initiatives that enhance employee performance, engagement, talent development, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with labour laws and internal governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Bank-wide performance management process, including objective setting, monthly and annual performance reviews, and performance improvement plans
  • Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives through surveys, feedback mechanisms, action plans, and regular branch visits
  • Manage talent acquisition and workforce planning in line with business requirements and approved organizational structures
  • Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary procedures, grievance management, and compliance with labour laws
  • Support the review and updating of the HR Manual and HR policies
  • Assist in preparing HR reports for local management and Group reporting
  • Coordinate and implement employee engagement activities and events to improve staff morale and retention
  • Support the execution of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives
  • Identify high-potential employees and recommend development opportunities
  • Provide strategic HR advisory services to line managers on employee relations and team performance
  • Monitor employee attrition trends and workforce analytics, recommending strategies to improve retention
  • Ensure accurate HR data management and reporting for decision-making and regulatory compliance
  • Support succession planning and talent development for critical positions
  • Participate in organizational change management and restructuring initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across the Bank
  • Coordinate onboarding and integration programmes for new employees to enhance productivity and employee experience

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM, CIPD, or HRCI is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of Human Resources experience, including exposure to HR business partnering
  • Strong knowledge of HR business partnering and business operations
  • Experience in performance management and talent management
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of employee engagement, organizational culture, and change management
  • Good understanding of HR governance, compliance, and policy implementation
  • Excellent coaching, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in people analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making
