Position: Field Coordinator
Location: Mwanza

The Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU) is seeking a qualified Field Coordinator to oversee and support multiple field teams in a community-based clinical trial evaluating a single dose of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in males.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support multiple field teams during trial activities
• Ensure adherence to study protocols, SOPs, and field manuals
• Provide trial information to community leaders and potential participants
• Ensure participant questions are addressed appropriately
• Supervise proper handling, storage, transportation, and recording of samples
• Ensure accurate completion of study documents following Good Documentation Practice
• Manage and monitor stock for field teams
• Maintain participant confidentiality during all trial procedures
• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
• Ensure staff training records and logs are updated

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree from a recognized institution
• Minimum of three years’ experience leading research activities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili
• Knowledge of Good Documentation Practice
• Understanding of GCP compliance and clinical research procedures
• Strong leadership, coordination, and team supervision skills
