Position: Director, Asset Management & Engineering

The successful candidate will lead maintenance and asset integrity strategies for fixed plant and mobile equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations aligned with production and long-term site objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities for open-pit and underground mobile equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering procedures
• Drive asset management and reliability improvement programs
• Lead engineering teams and contractor performance management
• Manage maintenance planning, shutdowns, and equipment availability
• Support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee engineering systems, documentation, and technical standards
• Manage maintenance budgets, expenditure, and contract performance
• Conduct risk assessments, RCA investigations, and defect elimination strategies
• Ensure governance, reporting, and compliance requirements are met

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Vocational Trade qualification with extensive proven experience may also apply

Experience and Skills

• 10 to 15 years of mining operations experience in maintenance or engineering services
• Strong leadership and contract management experience
• Proven experience in asset management and maintenance strategy implementation
• Experience managing capital projects and maintenance budgets
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence
