Job Description

Job Title: Veterinary Tutor
Department: Academic Department
Reports To:Human Resources Oficer
Duty station; Chato College of Health Science and Technology (CCOHEST), Chato-Geita Tanzania.

Key Duties and Responsibilities.
Teach veterinary science courses through lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and practical sessions.
Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, teaching materials, and assessment tools.
Conduct laboratory and field practical training for students.
Evaluate students through assignments, tests, practical examinations, and other assessment methods.
Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and academic performance.
Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
Participate in curriculum development and review activities.
Supervise students during fieldwork, clinical practice, and research projects.
Participate in departmental meetings and academic activities.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or College Management.

Qualifications and Experience
Holder of a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated knowledge of veterinary sciences and animal health management.
Good communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Skills and Competencies
Strong teaching and facilitation skills.
Ability to conduct practical and laboratory sessions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
