Full Job Description
The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, acting on behalf of several public institutions including the Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA), Institute of Finance Management (IFM), Tanzania Buildings Agency (TBA), Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA), Bank of Tanzania (BOT), Tanzania Film Board (TFB), Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN), Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC), Arusha Technical College (ATC), Tanzania Cooperative Development Commission (TCDC), Government Chemist Laboratory Authority (GCLA), and the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH), wishes to notify all job applicants that interviews for the advertised vacancies will be conducted between 30 May 2026 and 22 July 2026. Candidates who successfully pass the interviews will later be assigned to their respective work stations in accordance with the needs of the institutions concerned.
All shortlisted applicants are advised to read the interview instructions carefully and comply fully with all requirements. The interview schedule, including dates, times, and venues, has been arranged according to each professional cadre and position. Candidates are encouraged to arrive at the interview venue early enough to complete identification and registration procedures before the interview begins. Failure to appear at the specified time and location may result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
Every interviewee is required to attend the interview while wearing a face mask in order to comply with health and safety guidelines. In addition, each candidate must carry a valid identification document for verification purposes. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- National Identity Card
- Voter Registration Card
- Employee or Work Identification Card
- Citizenship Identification Card
- Passport
- Driving License
- Introduction letter from the Local Government or Village Office
Candidates without proper identification documents may not be allowed to participate in the interview process.
Applicants are also reminded to bring ORIGINAL academic and professional certificates. These documents are important for confirming the qualifications presented during the application process. Required documents may include:
- Birth Certificate
- Form IV Certificate
- Form VI Certificate
- Certificate qualifications
- Diploma certificates
- Advanced Diploma certificates
- Bachelor’s Degree certificates
- Postgraduate qualifications and other relevant credentials
The qualifications presented must match the requirements stated in the respective job advertisement. Candidates who submit photocopies without originals, provisional results, statements of results, testimonials, or examination result slips will not be accepted and will automatically be disqualified from continuing with the interview.
For professional cadres that require registration with recognized professional boards or councils, applicants must present additional supporting documents, including:
- Professional registration certificates
- Valid practicing licenses
- Membership certificates where applicable
Failure to provide these professional credentials may prevent a candidate from proceeding further in the recruitment process.
Applicants who obtained their education outside Tanzania must ensure that all academic certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities such as:
- Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
- National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET)
- National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA)
Furthermore, candidates applying for positions requiring Grade Point Average (GPA) qualifications and who studied abroad must also present an official GPA equivalency or translation certificate issued by TCU.
All candidates will be responsible for their own expenses during the interview process. This includes:
- Transportation costs
- Accommodation expenses
- Meals and refreshments
- Any other personal costs
Applicants are therefore advised to make appropriate arrangements before traveling to the interview venue. Candidates are also expected to maintain proper discipline and dress professionally in accordance with Public Service regulations and standards of conduct.

Candidates whose names differ between academic certificates and official identification documents are required to present a legally recognized Deed Poll for change of name. The document must be officially registered and issued through the Ministry of Lands or another authorized authority.

No applicant should give or receive bribes, favors, or any form of unlawful payment in order to obtain employment or secure placement at a work station.
