The organization is currently inviting qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Outlet Manager at its luxury lodge located in the Serengeti, Tanzania. Situated in the heart of one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife reserves, the lodge offers a unique luxury safari experience with world-class accommodation, dining, wellness facilities, and personalized guest services within the Central Serengeti ecosystem.

The Assistant Outlet Manager will support the management and supervision of food and beverage outlet operations while ensuring exceptional guest service standards are maintained at all times. The role involves overseeing restaurant operations, coordinating service teams, supporting revenue generation, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring guests receive a luxury hospitality experience consistent with Four Seasons brand expectations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring service delivery reflects Four Seasons standards of personalized and anticipatory guest service
  • Maintaining visible leadership presence during peak operational periods
  • Engaging proactively with guests and resolving concerns efficiently
  • Monitoring guest feedback and implementing service improvements where necessary
  • Ensuring flawless execution of VIP guest experiences and special occasions
  • Supervising daily restaurant and outlet operations during assigned shifts
  • Conducting pre-service briefings and communicating operational updates to team members
  • Monitoring service flow, section allocation, and operational productivity
  • Ensuring proper completion of opening and closing operational procedures
  • Coordinating bush dining experiences and outdoor service operations when assigned
  • Working closely with Kitchen and Stewarding teams to maintain smooth service flow
  • Managing service operations through OpenTable and related systems
  • Monitoring Game Drive Lunch and bush experience coordination
  • Reducing order errors and improving service timing efficiency
  • Supporting beverage upselling initiatives including wines, cocktails, and premium experiences
  • Monitoring daily revenue reports, void reports, and operational financial controls
  • Supporting food and beverage cost control initiatives
  • Assisting in forecasting and budget alignment activities
  • Coaching and mentoring supervisors, captains, and service staff on hospitality standards
  • Delivering on-the-job training and supporting employee development plans
  • Ensuring grooming, uniform, and professionalism standards are maintained
  • Supporting employee recognition and performance management initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, health, and safety standards
  • Monitoring outlet cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment conditions
  • Ensuring responsible alcohol service and licensing compliance

The ideal candidate should possess strong hospitality leadership skills, operational knowledge, and experience in luxury food and beverage service environments. Applicants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, guest service excellence, financial awareness, and the ability to lead service teams effectively within a luxury hospitality setting.

General Conditions include:

  • The position is full-time and based in Serengeti, Tanzania
  • The role supervises approximately 5–15 employees
  • Work schedules involve 9-hour shifts with varying days and operational hours depending on business needs
