Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Environmental Health Officer Grade II will be responsible for controlling and preventing disease outbreaks and combating vectors and animals that transmit diseases. The role includes supervising the burial of unidentified bodies and those resulting from infectious diseases, preparing environmental health reports at ward level and submitting them to relevant authorities, and collecting and analyzing environmental health statistics to provide feedback for appropriate action.

Additional duties include providing environmental health education to the community, inspecting food preparation premises to ensure public health and safety, enforcing environmental health laws at ward level and assisting communities in formulating by-laws, mobilizing communities to improve water sources and environmental sanitation, promoting implementation of Primary Health Care services at ward level, and performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor relevant to their education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences from a government-recognized institution and must be registered with the Environmental Health Practitioners Registration Board.

Remuneration:
Salary scale TGHS B.
