Production Manager
Job Description
Union Service Stores Company Limited (USSL) is a leading manufacturing and grain aggregation company committed to delivering high-quality grain products through operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. As the company continues to expand its operations, USSL is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead production activities and ensure the achievement of operational, quality, and efficiency targets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with strong leadership, production planning, and process improvement expertise to contribute to the success of a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing production processes, managing resources effectively, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Develop and implement production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate shift teams to achieve optimal performance.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Quality Control, Milling, Procurement, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth production processes.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a production line environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
