Job Description
Jordan University College (JUCo) is seeking qualified and dedicated academic professionals to fill the position of Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer in Counselling. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, conducting research, supervising student projects, and participating in consultancy and community service activities. Responsibilities
- Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and engage in consultancy activities.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, tests, assignments, and examinations.
- Assess students’ coursework and examinations and submit results within stipulated timelines.
- Prepare teaching and learning materials for academic programmes.
- Supervise and guide students in research projects and academic assignments.
- Mentor and support junior academic staff on academic and professional matters.
- Participate in departmental, college, and institutional academic activities.
- Organize and participate in departmental, college, and public seminars.
- Contribute to community engagement and outreach initiatives.
- Report directly to the Head of Department or designated supervisor.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or reporting officer.
Qualifications
- PhD in Counselling or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Master’s Degree in Counselling or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s degree level.
- Minimum GPA of 4.0 at Master’s degree level.
- Strong teaching, research, and academic writing skills.
- Ability to supervise students and contribute to scholarly publications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentorship skills.
