The Underground Tele-Remote Bogger Operator role is responsible for operating both manual and remote-controlled underground loading equipment to support production and development activities. The position plays a vital role in material movement, stope cleaning, backfilling operations, and ensuring safe and efficient underground mining processes through the use of advanced tele-remote technology.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies, procedures, and instructions
• Correctly use safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report hazardous situations, incidents, accidents, and injuries promptly
• Take appropriate action to eliminate or control workplace hazards
• Bog development headings and stockpiles into trucks
• Ensure efficient truck loading while maintaining separation of ore, low-grade, marginal, and waste materials
• Bog out and clean mining faces
• Inspect for misfires and immediately report findings to the Shift Supervisor
• Perform hosing down and scaling activities as required
• Operate RCT 2200 Tele-Remote equipment for remote bogging operations in open stopes
• Tram material from stockpiles and perform assigned bogging duties
• Conduct stope backfilling using Rockfill, Cement Aggregate Fill (CAF), and Cement Rock Fill (CRF)
• Maintain underground roads by keeping them clean and free from pooling water and hazards
• Perform both manual and tele-remote bogging of production stopes to stockpiles
• Apply sound mechanical knowledge in the operation and care of boggers and trucks

Qualification required

• Minimum 5 years of underground mining experience in a mechanised hard rock mining environment
• Experience operating underground haulage equipment
• Experience operating Sandvik 621 Loaders
• Experience operating RCT 2200 Series Tele-Remote Boggers
• Experience in stope backfilling using Rockfill, Cement Aggregate Fill (CAF), and Cement Rock Fill (CRF)
• Valid Tanzanian Driver’s Licence with good driving skills
• Basic First Aid certification
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard identification
• Sound mechanical knowledge of boggers and underground mining equipment
• Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of duties
• Completion of secondary school education
• Basic numeracy skills
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
