The company is currently seeking qualified and technically skilled candidates to fill the position of Product Technician based in Dar es Salaam. This opportunity is suitable for individuals with experience in technical support, smart device operations, IT systems, and equipment management who are capable of working in a fast-paced operational environment.

The Product Technician will be responsible for supporting smart meter operations, maintaining company-provided equipment, and providing technical and IT-related support services. The role involves ensuring that workshop resources, technical devices, and operational tools are properly managed, maintained, and functioning efficiently to support company operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Safely managing and maintaining company support resources including laptops, mobile phones, tools, and technical equipment
• Ensuring the smart meter workshop, office environment, and tools are secure, organized, and properly maintained
• Supporting smart meter operations and related technical activities
• Providing technical support for company systems, devices, and operational equipment
• Assisting in configuring and supporting Windows 10 computers and Android mobile devices
• Supporting Microsoft Office 365 user and group administration activities
• Performing any other duties assigned by management from time to time

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and organizational skills with the ability to support IT systems, smart devices, and operational equipment effectively. Applicants are expected to demonstrate problem-solving abilities, technical competence, and the ability to work independently and within teams while meeting operational deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements include:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related qualification from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar technical support or product support role
• Experience configuring and supporting Windows 10 computers
• Experience configuring and supporting Android mobile devices
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 user and group administration
• Basic understanding of ITIL processes and ITIL terminology
• Knowledge of hardware and firmware interaction, especially embedded hardware, is an added advantage
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• High level of integrity, responsibility, and commitment to maintaining company assets and workplace standards
