BRAC Tanzania Finance Limited is part of BRAC International’s global microfinance network and focuses on providing financial services that support low-income communities, especially women and underserved populations. The organization is currently seeking qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the position of Digital Transformation Manager in Dar es Salaam to support innovation, digital finance, and organizational transformation initiatives.
The Digital Transformation Manager will be responsible for driving innovation and digital transformation within the organization by implementing and optimizing digital delivery channels and technology-driven solutions. The role focuses on improving customer experience, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the development of digital financial services that promote accessibility, security, and financial inclusion for clients.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, managing, and analyzing business strategies related to Digital Financial Services and technology implementation
- Developing innovative digital products and delivery channels that meet customer needs
- Leading the implementation of digital transformation strategies across departments
- Monitoring emerging digital technologies and recommending solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery
- Developing and maintaining relationships with fintech companies, digital solution providers, developers, and other stakeholders
- Preparing detailed functional requirements for digital systems and applications
- Defining implementation and change management plans to maximize project impact
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of digital initiatives
- Promoting safeguarding standards and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders
The ideal candidate should possess strong academic qualifications and practical experience in digital finance, technology management, and financial inclusion initiatives. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Project Planning and Management, Sales and Marketing, or related fields. Professional certifications in relevant disciplines will be an added advantage.
Qualifications and Experience include:
- At least three years of relevant experience in digital finance, product development, financial inclusion, or technology for development
- Experience in project management and working with fintechs, mobile network operators, financial institutions, or regulators
- Familiarity with financial institutions and digital financial services operations
- Strong understanding of DFS strategy management and organizational digital transformation
- Ability to assess business challenges and develop strategic digital solutions
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple business language
- Knowledge of digital project management and functional system specifications
- Understanding of emerging technologies and digital transformation trends within the financial sector
