System Administrator

Inventions Technologies Co Ltd is looking to hire a System Administrator responsible for ensuring charging systems and integrated infrastructure components operate efficiently, securely, and reliably. The role involves server administration, system monitoring, virtualization, cloud infrastructure management, security implementation, and technical support within a high-availability environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute and automate daily system health checks.
  • Ensure service and system availability is maintained at 99.999%.
  • Identify faulty systems and potential failures quickly.
  • Recommend proactive and preventive fixes before issues occur.
  • Monitor system performance regularly.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to prevent system breaches.
  • Conduct regular security testing and vulnerability checks.
  • Establish and manage automated backups.
  • Ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Plan and execute backup recovery procedures.
  • Sign off for TRP validation processes.
  • Create, update, and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Automate user review processes for applications, databases, and operating systems.
  • Analyze customer complaints using available monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Provide responses within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, and service records.
  • Develop detailed test plans and test cases for patches, fixes, and new products.
  • Ensure proper testing of released patches and new systems.
  • Utilize monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
  • Ensure carrier-grade scalability, reliability, and 24/7 system availability.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with company policies and service agreements.
  • Provide technical support and respond to customer queries within agreed timelines.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Business Information Technology
    • Telecommunication Engineering
    • Or related field from a recognized university.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in Linux-based and cloud-based environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack, KVM, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Rancher.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell.
  • Understanding of firewalls, cybersecurity practices, and data protection policies.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and operational targets.
