The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing investigation processes related to incidents involving company personnel and property while supporting the Risk and Security Executive Officer and Security Operations Manager in matters related to estate security, security contractors, and operational investigations. The position is based in Moshi and reports directly to the Risk and Security Executive Officer.

Job Summary

• Oversee and manage company investigation processes
• Support security operations and investigations involving company personnel and property
• Assist in management of estate security and security contractors

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the Investigation Section consisting of two junior investigators
• Conduct and compile investigations for incidents involving TPC personnel and property
• Work with Heads of Departments, Human Resources, and Legal Services during disciplinary hearings
• Support the SHE section in investigating serious work-related injuries
• Investigate potential fraud, theft, or abuse of company property
• Conduct night shift spot checks on security camera systems, alarms, and guard performance
• Utilize the Skyline Vehicle Tracking System in vehicle-related investigations
• Conduct random patrols and inspections involving local security contractors
• Inspect the TPC control room and ensure proper handling of security systems and records
• Act as Security Operations Manager in the absence of the SOM when required
• Support the Risk and Security Executive Officer with additional assigned tasks
• Authorize gate passes and fuel issue notes in the absence of the Security Operations Manager according to company procedures

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Risk Management, or a related field
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• Combination of relevant academic qualifications and at least five years of experience in security and investigation activities is an added advantage

Work Experience

• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, and law enforcement authorities
• Skilled in interviewing witnesses and suspects to obtain accurate and reliable information during investigations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of security investigations
• Good computer skills for preparation of investigation reports
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fluency in both Swahili and English
• Good understanding of the Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code
• Ability to conduct interviews and gather valuable information for investigations
