Role Purpose

This role is responsible for supporting Sales and Distribution operations by managing agent productivity, resolving operational queries, and driving effective execution of commercial initiatives across all channels.

The position works closely with Regional M-Pesa Leads, Territory Managers, TDRs, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of business strategies and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following areas:

Agent and Operational Support

  • Manage back-office and super agent queries, ensuring timely resolution of operational and service-related issues
  • Monitor agent productivity and provide support to improve efficiency

Trade and Regional Support

  • Support trade activities by sharing daily operational reports and actionable insights
  • Collaborate with Regional M-Pesa Leads to drive product and service implementation across regions

Project and Initiative Management

  • Oversee and deliver Sales and Distribution projects, including PPO and survival initiatives
  • Ensure projects are executed within defined timelines, quality standards, and business objectives

Campaign Execution and Communication

  • Coordinate campaign communications and execution strategies
  • Track performance and provide feedback to optimize campaign outcomes

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements across all Sales and Distribution projects
  • Conduct regional base tracking and reporting in collaboration with the CVM team

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

Candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills driven by customer insights and performance reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder management and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions

Technical and Professional Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant industry or functional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or an equivalent qualification
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Qlik, or other business intelligence platforms
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across the value chain
  • Experience in mobile financial services will be an added advantage
  • Technical knowledge and experience in data analytics is desirable
  • Proven skills in managing large partner or agent bases

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance in this role will be measured through:

  • Productivity improvement within M-Pesa Sales and Distribution
  • Accurate and timely delivery of initiatives for execution and business support
  • End-to-end execution of sales initiatives
  • Successful implementation of assigned projects
