Tanlapia Limited, a leading fish farm in Tanzania using the advanced In-Pond Raceway System (IPRS) technology, is inviting applications from qualified professionals to join its team. The farm operates with modern technology available in only two African countries and seeks skilled personnel to support farm operations.

1. Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Record Keeping

  • Collect and record data on fish feed, growth performance, water quality, and other operational parameters.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into Kamahu software (training provided).

Data Analysis

  • Analyze farm data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to fish growth, feed conversion ratios, and other KPIs.
  • Develop, maintain, and update dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders.

Kamahu Software Management

  • Track and analyze farm data using Kamahu software, including fish growth, feed consumption, and water quality.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and optimize software usage for operational and reporting needs.

Insight Generation and Decision Support

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to farm management based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate with farm staff to implement data-driven decisions to improve productivity and performance.

Farm Inventory

  • Manage farm inventory records accurately.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Excellent communication and data visualization skills

2. Electrical Engineer – 2 Posts

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures
  • Ensure proper functioning of water pumps, aerators, backup generators, and other electrical equipment
  • Conduct regular electrical safety checks and preventive maintenance
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and troubleshoot faults
  • Assist the Head of Maintenance in planning electrical upgrades and improvements
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and electrical usage
  • Comply with company safety policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years proven work experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in AUTOCAD is an added advantage
