Store Officer / Materials Controller

Role Overview
The role is responsible for managing material receipt, storage, issuance, and stock control processes at the plant. The position ensures accurate documentation, system posting in SAP, and coordination between procurement, stores, and user departments to maintain optimal stock levels and operational efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Material Receiving & Verification
- Physically receive materials from cargo or consignments.
- Verify materials against Delivery Notes and corresponding Purchase Orders.
- Report any quantity or quality deviations to the Procurement department.
- Notify end users about material receipt and facilitate inspection.
2. Documentation & System Posting
- Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) in SAP for received materials.
- Coordinate with user departments to obtain GRN approvals.
- Tag materials appropriately and update Bin Cards.
- Record receipts manually in Excel for quick reference and tracking.
3. Storage & Inventory Management
- Store materials in designated locations following proper storage procedures.
- Conduct physical verification of line balance items in bins against SAP reservations.
- Issue materials to user departments based on SAP reservations.
- Post reservations and related transactions in SAP accurately.
4. Stock Monitoring & Replenishment
- Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) in SAP for out-of-stock items.
- Maintain and monitor minimum stock level lists.
- Follow up on replenishment to prevent stock-outs.
- Maintain manual Excel records for reservations and tracking purposes.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management or a related field.
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP inventory and materials management processes.
- Good understanding of instrumentation equipment use and maintenance.
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Commitment to safety and environmental compliance standards.
- Good data collection and analytical skills.
- Problem-solving capability with structured analysis approach.
