Coca-Cola Kwanza (Tanzania), part of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), is inviting qualified professionals to apply for the position of SHEQ Systems Specialist based in Mbeya.

Role Purpose

The SHEQ Systems Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) systems, including internal and external audits, compliance monitoring, and corrective action management.

The role ensures full alignment with regulatory standards, Coca-Cola system requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. SHEQ System Management

  • Implement, maintain, and enhance SHEQ systems and databases.
  • Ensure system compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Compliance and Certification

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and Coca-Cola standards.
  • Maintain certifications aligned with relevant SHEQ standards.
  • Monitor system integrity and governance requirements.

3. Audit Leadership

  • Plan and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Lead audit processes and manage corrective action plans.
  • Close non-conformance findings within defined timelines.

4. New Product Development and Commercialisation

  • Oversee SHEQ integration during new product implementation.
  • Identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
  • Ensure seamless plant-level execution of new products.

5. Training and Capability Building

  • Develop and deliver SHEQ-related training programs.
  • Embed compliance culture across the manufacturing site.
  • Strengthen site-wide understanding of quality and environmental standards.

6. Reporting and Monitoring

  • Compile and present SHEQ performance reports.
  • Track risk registers and compliance logs.
  • Provide insights to senior leadership on system performance.

Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Food Technology, or related field.
  • SHEQ system training and/or Lead Auditor certification will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a SHEQ information management role within the bottling or food industry.
  • Strong background in Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Proven experience coordinating audits and maintaining certifications.
  • Exposure to new product implementation and risk mitigation.
  • Experience engaging with auditors, customers, and suppliers.
