Job Description
- Ifakara Health Institute through CARECHAIN – NCD is looking a qualified and competent Research Officer. The Research Officer is expected to collaborate within the existing clinical research platform of Heart and Lung Clinic, CDCI, Emergency department, and IMC-SFRH in the implementation of the Sub – heart study activities. This position is open for internal applicants , if you meet the required criterial you are encouraged to apply.
Responsibility:
- Screening of eligible patients to be recruited in the Sub heart study at the heart and lung clinic of St. Francis regional referral hospital.
- Participate in consenting procedure of patients to be recruited in Sub heart study.
- Participate in quantitative and qualitative data collection.
- Perform transcription of the audio – recorded data.
- Be ready to work on any other relevant duties allocated by the project principal investigator/ project leader.

- Interest in doing both clinical and research work.

- Professional attitude to work and clear work ethics
Qualification Required:
- Minimum of Diploma in clinical medicine with experience in quantitative data collection.
- Competent and certified on good clinical practice (GCP).
Experience :
- Minimum 1-year experience in attending and managing patients with Non communicable disease.
Preferred Language Skill :
- Fluent in both Swahili and English
