Position Overview:

Position: Project Coordinator (SRH & MNH)
Contract Type: Full-time
Duty Station: Mahenge Town, Ulanga District, Morogoro, Tanzania – with frequent travel to Ifakara and Morogoro.
Reports to: AHA! Plus Project Manager (Direct Line) and A Good Start Project Manager (Dotted Line)
Start Date: January 2026
Duration: One-year contract (renewable upon mutual agreement)

The second phase of the A Good Start project (2025–2027) seeks to reduce perinatal and neonatal deaths and improve the quality of neonatal care across eight health facilities in the Morogoro Region. The project also includes an important research component to inform future health policy and programming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers in the development and execution of annual work plans, budgets, and activity schedules.
  • Ensure timely and quality implementation of SRH, MNH, and community health activities according to project frameworks and national standards.
  • Coordinate mentorship sessions, outreach clinics, community dialogues, and youth engagement events.
  • Work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer to ensure proper data collection, validation, and reporting.
  • Organize project-related activities including trainings, radio sessions, stakeholder meetings, and mentorship workshops.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with district health teams, local authorities, and implementing partners.
  • Oversee project documentation, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Uphold SolidarMed’s policies and Code of Conduct, including integrity and accountability standards.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing/Midwifery, Public Health, or Community Health.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with NGOs or in multi-stakeholder environments (e.g., CHMT, MoH, MoEST, PORALG).
  • Proven experience in project coordination, preferably within clinical or public health settings.
  • Strong background in community mobilization, training, and health sensitization.
  • Excellent report writing, data analysis, and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Highly proactive, organized, and adaptable.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and working in rural communities to improve access to healthcare.
